Garry
Richardson was born in Franklin, Tasmania. After schooling at
Huonville, Sorell and Rose Bay High he joined the Forestry Commission in 1966.
He spent most of his working life in the North East of Tasmania and has lived
at St Helens since 1980. Garry retired from Forestry Tasmania after thirty nine
years service in July 2005.
Since retirement he has continued his interests in
photography and runs his own business and along with wife Mary does volunteer
work at the St Helens Information Centre and History Room. Along with
photography he has also taken an interest in writing and has published several
small booklets on the area around St Helens.
To quote Garry “life has never
been busier”.
